BIOGRAPHY
Maurie played most of his football on the half-forward line. Recruited from Kew he was an elusive left-foot kick. In 1938 he won the Reserves Goal kicking award. In Round 8 of 1939 he kicked 6 goals against Hawthorn. He later serviced in the Army for five years during the Second World War. Away from football he was involved in horse racing.
