BIOGRAPHY
After being de-listed by St Kilda at the end of 2018 season , Maverick joined Richmond in the 2019 AFL Rookie Draft under the Pre season Supplemental Selection rule ( PSS ) . Maverick debuted for the Richmond senior team in Round 1, 2019 against Carlton
By the time he came to Richmond in 2019, Weller had already played with Gold Coast and StKilda.
The experienced midfielder/forward was thrown a lifeline by the Tigers via the new pre-season supplemental rule after being cut by St Kilda.
He debuted against Carlton , Rd 1 2019, in front of 85.016 with Tom Lynch and Noah Balta.
He played in the senior team again in Round 2 and returned to the Tigers VFL team for the rest of the season , playing in the Tigers VFL 2019 Premiership. Maverick retired from AFL football at the end of 2019 season.
