BIOGRAPHY
Max was a ruckman. He first came under notice while playing with the R.A.A.F side during World War Two. His VFL career was interrupted during seasons 1950 and 1951, due to a leg injury. He later coached with success in the Wimmera and North Central leagues, winning premierships with Warracknabeal and Narraport. He returned to Richmond as a Club Director in 1984 and served as Deputy President in 1985. Max is the older brother of John Currie.
