BIOGRAPHY
Max was a versatile player who could play in the centre, as a ruck-rover or on the half-forward line. After two seasons with Richmond, he crossed to South Warrnambool, where he won the “Maskell Cup” for Best and Fairest in the Hampden League. Origianlly recruited locally to Richmond, he was forced into retirement due to injury. His brother Ron EVANS also played for Richmond.
