BIOGRAPHY
Noel was a centre-half-forward and follower. Recruited from Foster, he played with Richmond between 1945 and 1947 before returning to Foster for one season, in 1948 when he won the league and club’s Best and Fairest awards. He rejoined Richmond in 1949 before transferring to Mirboo North for two seasons. In 1951, he won the Central Gippsland League’s Best and Fairest award “The Rodda Medal”. He eventually returned to Foster and played his last game at the age of 37. He also spent two years in the army during the Second World War. Noel still lives at Foster.
