BIOGRAPHY
Peter was a versatile player who could play almost anywhere. Recruited from East Fremantle, he spent three seasons with Richmond before crossing to the West Coast Eagles. At Richmond he mainly played as a half-forward, half-back and ruck-rover. He was probably best suited to a ruck-roving role where he could create the loose man and run with the ball. His greatest assets were his balls kills and pace. He was a rugged straight-ahead type of player, who became an important linkman in the Eagles’ line-up. He was dangerous near goal and didn’t mind kicking a goal if the opportunity arose. He was a member of the West Coast Eagles’ 1992 and 1994 Premiership sides. During the 1992 Grand Final he kicked a freakish goal with a snap-shot over his shoulder from the middle of a pack. He also represented Western Australia seven times and retired from AFL football at the end of the 1995 season. Away from football, he works in the hotel industry. Peter was also a champion junior swimmer in Western Australia before opting for football.
