BIOGRAPHY
Richard was a half-forward and half-back. He was a skillful player who used the ball well. He spent just over two seasons with Richmond and was runner-up in the 1986 Reserves’ Best and Fairest award. After leaving Richmond he moved to South Fremantle for two seasons with VFA club Werribee where he represented the VFA twice. At Werribee, he found a niche as an attacking half-back-flanker who backed his judgment and ran off opponents. In 1993, he played an important part in Werribee’s first VFA Premiership win kicking 3 goals and gathering 25 possessions. Richard spent 1994 at Kyabram and in 1995 he was assistant coach of the Western Jets.
