BIOGRAPHY
Samson Ryan was drafted by Richmond with the clubs first pick and selection 40 overall in the 2020 NAB AFL National Draft .
Samson played with Richmond in the Covid19 interrupted VFL season and despite the lack of continuity of matches some of his
performances as a 206cm tall forward were very encouraging .

Samson was moved into the ruck and performed very well , eventually being selected to make his debut in the Tigers senior team on 25/06/2021, Round 15 against St Kilda at the MCG.
Samson’s first game produced a disappointing performance which showed the young Ruck/ Forward the level of competitiveness he would need to develop.
The encouraging VFL form , his youth and enthusiasm will assist Samson’s development of the special attributes he has in season 2022.

He kicked 3 goals with his first 3 kicks for Richmond (in what was his second game). His first game 639 games earlier was kick-less
