2022 - Elimination Final, Shane Edwards plays his 303rd and last game. Brisbane defeat Richmond by 2 pts at the GABBA

1971- Ian Stewart is presented with his 3rd Brownlow Medal by Sir Rohan Delacombe, prior to the Hawthorn v St Kilda semi final at the MCG. Stewart runs down the race, through a banner and completes a lap of honour alongside Bob Skilton, Bill Goggin, Sergio Silvagni

1930 - Stan Judkins, Allan Hopkins, and Harry Collier tie for the Brownlow Medal. No award is presented that night, as the League organise to meet on the 19th, and then 26th to determine who to announce as the winner. (That would be Judkins).

Adem Yze is appointed Richmond coach, on his 44th birthday.

23rd
1967- Richmond win their sixth VFL premiership (and eighth in history) by defeating Geelong at the MCG. It broke a premiership drought of 24 years.

25th
1943 - Richmond win their fifth VFL premiership (and seventh in history) by defeating Essendon at Princes Park. It's Richmond first premiership win at a venue other than the MCG since 1905 (East Melb Cricket Ground)

27th
1969 - Richmond win their seventh VFL premiership (and ninth in history) by defeating Carlton at the MCG.
At the time 119,165 was the highest crowd for a VFL Grand Final (surpassed the following year)

1980 - Richmond win their tenth VFL premiership (and twelfth in history) by defeating Collingwood at the MCG.
Kevin Bartlett wins the Norm Smith Medal with 7 goals.

28th
1974- Richmond win their ninth VFL premiership (and eleventh in history) by defeating North Melbourne at the MCG.

2019- Richmond win their twelfth VFL/AFL premiership (and fourteenth in history) by defeating GWS at the MCG
Dustin Martin wins his second Norm Smith Medal

1973- Richmond win their eighth VFL premiership (and tenth in history) by defeating Carlton at the MCG
Laurie Fowler knocks down John Nicholls. Neil Balme hits Geoff Southby and Vin Waite.
The match was the first ever Grand Final filmed in colour (by Channel 9), despite transmitting in black and white. Ch9 have not broadcast an VFL/AFL Grand Final since.

2017 - Richmond win their eleventh VFL/AFL premiership (and thirteenth in history) by defeating Adelaide Crows at the MCG. The win breaks a 37 year premiership drought.
Dustin Martin wins his first Norm Smith Medal.
