BIOGRAPHY
Stephen was a solidly built ruck-rover and half-back. Although not a fast player, he was a hard trier who persisted well and was a fine team man. He spent a total of five seasons with Richmond and was a member of the 1975 Under/19 and 1977 Reserves’ Premiership sides. He also ran second in the 1978 Reserves’ Best and Fairest award. After leaving Richmond, he spent 1979 and 1980 at Collingwood before crossing to St.Kilda in 1981. He then crossed to Oakleigh where he played between 1982 and 1986. During that time he won the Best and Fairest award, captained the side and represented the VFA. Stephen now works as a marketing manager for Mini Skips. His younger brother, Michael, also played senior football with Oakleigh.
