BIOGRAPHY
Steven Sziller played for Woodville-West Torrens in the South Australian National Football League ( SANFL ) and was a prominent
member of their inaugural Premiership team in 1993, winning the Jack Oatey Medal for the Best Player in the Grand Final. He also won the Best and Fairest for Woodville-West Torrens in 1994. St Kilda drafted Steven with pick 25 overall in the 1994 AFL National Draft . Steven was a defender , although he had the ability to play forward and was used as a tagger throughout his career . After playing 118 games for St Kilda he was delisted by St Kilda at the end of 2000 after playing 22 games in that year. Steven re-entered the draft system and was drafted by Richmond with pick 57 overall in the 2000 AFL National Draft. The Richmond Coach Danny Frawley had just completed his first year as coach and was a former teammate of Steven . Steven played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 1, 2001 against Melbourne and continued to be a regular senior player , playing 23 matches in 2001, including
the Tigers Finals campaign which ended in a Preliminary Final loss to the Brisbane Lions. Steven played another 15 games in 2002 and was delisted by Richmond at the end of 2002.
