BIOGRAPHY
Stuart is a classy left-footed wingman. During the 1992 season he turned in several fine performances which indicated that he would become a regular senior player in future years. He is a very determined player who bores in to get the hard ball. He also passes the ball very well to his teammates further up the ground and he gets plenty of distance with his kicks. He has a good turn of speed and creates the loose man very well. In 1992, he scored 5 goals, from the wing, in Round 22 against Hawthorn and in the return meeting in Round 9 of 1993, he kicked 6. In his first season with Richmond, 1989, he was best player in the Under/19’s Premiership side. After suffering a broken jaw against Essendon during the 1995 season, he came back strongly and was a valuable player during the finals, particularly against Essendon in the semi-final. At the end of the 1995 season, he signed a lucrative three-year contract with the Sydney Swans. Away from football, he is completing a carpentry apprenticeship.
