BIOGRAPHY
Edward was a centre-half-forward and centre-half-back. The main feature of his game was his strong, sure marking. Originally recruited from Tungamah, he spent three seasons with Richmond before moving to Brunswick and then South Melbourne. In 1929, he won the VFA Best and Fairest award, “The Recorder Cup”, whilst representing Sandringham in their first season of VFA Football. Edward also coached Yarraville in 1933 before moving to the country to coach.
