BIOGRAPHY
Ted was a half-forward, wingman and ruck-rover. He was recruited from the Rose of Northcote Club in 1908. He captained Richmond in 1912, and during one match against Melbourne he played most of the game with a broken collar bone. He was callously booed throughout this game by the Richmond supporters who mistakenly thought he wasn't trying. That was the only time his endeavours where not appreciated, as he was normally a very steady and consistent player who didnt mind getting the hard ball and excelled in shepherding for his teammates. Prior to a 1915 clash with Fitzroy, he received a letter from an unstable supporter threatening him with injury if he played. He died in 1950.
