BIOGRAPHY
Terry was a utility player, who was drafted by Richmond after the 1990 season. He spent several seasons at Collingwood before coming to Richmond. Terry was a fine mark and long kick, particularly with the torpedo punt. At Richmond he started on the forward line and in several of his early games formed a two pronged attack with Jeff HOGG. Terry kicked 7 goals against Footscray, at the Western Oval, in 1991. He later spent time in the reserves before finishing the season in defence for the seniors. He spent most of 1992 in the reserves where he kicked 61 goals and won the Best and Fairest award. He was left of the Richmond list at the end of 1992 and he joined VFA club Frankston. In the mid-year draft of 1993, he was re-drafted by Collingwood. He left Frankston at the end of 1993 and crossed to Tasmania where he was playing coach of Latrobe. He broke the club’s goalkicking record when he kicked 16 goals in an early season game. He finished the season with 119 goals; however, his team were beaten in the Grand Final. He returned to Melbourne in 1995 and has played with Lalor since.
