BIOGRAPHY
Thomson Dow was drafted by Richmond in the 2019 NAB AFL National Draft with pick 21 overall . Thomson is the brother of
Paddy Dow currently playing with Carlton ( No 3 pick in 2017 National Draft ) . Originally from Swan Hill Thomson played in a
Premiership with Swan Hill U/16 when he was 14 with brother Paddy. Thomson made his way into the Bendigo Pioneers and was selected in Vic Country team for U/16 National Championships, continuing on to be selected in Vic Country team for 2019 U/18
National Championships .
Thomson , an inside midfielder debuted in the Tigers senior team in 2020 in Round 13, against West Coast at Metricon Stadium .
Thomson also received Richmond ‘s Best First Year player award for 2020.
Thomson was another young player impacted by the Covid19 pandemic but had played 7 games in the senior team by the end of
2021. That experience should provide the impetus for Thomson to secure a permanent position in the Tigers senior team
Sept 15 2023- Dow signs a one year deal.
