BIOGRAPHY
Thomas was a wingman who was recruited from East Ballarat. He was a tenacious, determined player who had a good turn of speed and was very fair. He ran second in the 1959 Best and Fairest award and third in 1958. He was a member of Richmond's only night Premiership side in 1962 and was awarded Life Membership in 1963. After eight seasons with Richmond he returned to East Ballarat and in 1965 he tied for the "Henderson Medal" as Best and Fairest in the Ballarat League, unfortunately he lost on a count back. He later served Richmond as a recruiting officer during the 1970's and 1980s and for the past several years has been involved in various capacities in the Victorian Country Football League.
