BIOGRAPHY
Vic Played most of his football as a follower. A strongly built player, he spent a total of nine seasons at Richmond after working his way to the Seniors from the Fourths. He played with the Richmond Seniors for three seasons before crossing to Oakleigh where he played for two years, winning the Best and Fairest award in 1959 and playing in their Premiership team in 1960. He retired from football at 24. Apart from his football, he was also in line for selection to the Australian Olympic Athletics team for the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. He was a javelin thrower, who missed qualifying due to a shoulder injury, and was in the top three for the javelin event in Australia. He now plays golf where he has a handicap of four. Vic has also represented Victoria in Squash at the Australian Masters Championships.
