BIOGRAPHY
Wally played in the back-pocket and as a ruck-rover. A dashing player, he was a fine kick to position. Originally a local Richmond boy he joined the club after a stint with VFA club Preston. He was a member of the Reserves’ first Premiership side in 1929. One of his three senior games was the 1931 second semi-final against Geelong. Wally later spent seven seasons with Fitzroy where he established himself as a regular senior player, before finishing his career at Preston. He died in 1951 after a short illness.
